Aquaculture Europe 2025 and MUSICA
AquaBioTech and MUSICA project, had the opportunity to participate in the biggest European conference and exhibition ‘Aquaculture Europe 2025’, which was held in Valencia, Spain, from the 22nd until the 25th of September 2025.
More than 3100 visitors participated in a long series of meetings, presentations and discussions with experts, researchers, and industry leaders, all sharing a common interest in the sustainable development of aquaculture. MUSICA was presented to the visitors of AquaBioTech’s booth, highlighting the sustainable practices, innovations and technologies of the project.
The EU Horizon project is developing an off-shore Multi-Use Platform (MUP) in a small remote island in Greece, combining renewable energy (wind, solar, wave) and smart energy storage to provide a clean, sustainable, and decarbonized energy solution for small islands, while also offering fresh water through desalination. An important part of the project is the support of aquaculture production, by automatically supplying an innovative net cage with energy and fish feed from the MUP. MUSICA will provide “green” support services for the island’s aquaculture production and increase social acceptance of fish-farming.
